UNDEBATABLE WIND!

Predictions  for the evening: 13 knot winds  with gusts to 18, decreasing through the evening.

Actual conditions:  consistent winds from 17 to 20+ knots from 235 degrees. 

We called for course Whiskey 2: Start>Schuyler>Mile>Blacks>Finish at S/F to starboard.

We blew the 10-minute horn and watched as Fleet A and B got off to a clean start.  Most of the boats took the inside track as is usually preferred for Northwest wind. The boats that had reefs in shook their reefs out as we approached Schuyler and the wind was starting to subside. The first A Fleet boat to round Schuyler was Heartbeat followed by Sweetheart, Sagittarius and Yellow Belly and Interlude together.  Fleet B was led by Perfect 36 then Sumo, Simpatico, Inspiration, Sailing Pair A Dice and TOAD.

All boats made their way around Mile and Blacks as the wind was getting lighter.  The first boat to finish in Fleet A was Heartbeat 38:08 followed by Sweetheart 41:16, Sagittarius 46:56, Aboriginal 47:26,  Interlude 50:29 and Yellow Belly 50:35.  The first B Fleet boat to finish was Zoop  51:13 followed by Sumo 51:33, Perfect 36 53:14, Simpatico 55:27, Sailing Pair A Dice 1:02:46, Inspiration 1:03:23 and TOAD  1:05:03.  All time are elapsed, and the course distance was 3.83NM.

It was awesome to actually have some good wind and clear skies.  Though there were fewer boats,          presumably because of the political debate, we enjoyed UNDEBATABLE WIND!
